(a statement overheard from the child kicking the back of my seat on the final descent into milwaukee)
(mke airport - midwest airlines concourse)
i was sitting in the kansas city international airport this morning and thought, it's a shame if people judge cities simply on the airport. if that were true you would think kansas city was dump. MCI (the airport) is made of cold, dark stone and does not reflect at all the vibrant character of this city of fountains. i love airports, flying, and traveling. i used to study for finals at mitchell international (mke) where there was such an air of diligence, accomplishment and achievable greatness. airports are also opportune places to people watch. some in sweats, some in business suites, some in 4 inch heals... (seriously, where could you possibly be going in 4 inch heals at 830 in the morning? better yet, where are you coming from?)
some other things that crossed my mind while waiting for my plane:
where is everyone going?
why are you going there?
get that bluetooth out of your ear, you look like a d.bag
am i wearing the same shoes as that grandma?
what are the rules of flying when you're pregnant, cause that doesn't look safe
why are your faces in trashy magazines... the world cup is on?!?!
more on the real reason i'm back in milwaukee later... now it's time for turkey clubs and cherry almond smoothies with my one true love... alterra
