for those of you who may or may not know, i have an attention span of about 9 months. maybe it began in utero when i threw my hands up and just wanted out, or maybe it's the years of public school that conditioned me to only pay attention september through may. in any case, every 9 months i usually need a change of some sort. a new zip code, new hair length, new hobby, new occupation... you name it. it's been about 9 months since i had a drastic change in my life. so i thought i'd get a new job. it's working out pretty well. it's nice to wear real clothes and not come home smelling like coffee grounds. i like that i have a set schedule so i can plan fun things in advance. but my goodness, are all you 9-to-5-ers this tired all the time? thank goodness i got to end my first week on the new job with a weekend in chicago to celebrate the last single days of a good friend! it was so much fun - i spy oprah games, cabs, trains, drinks, drag shows, victoria secret gift bags, and lots friends from freshmen year to this past february!

ugh. can't beleive this one's off the market...
i didn't know this, but ms. megan does not like to take shots (really, who does?). HOWEVER... i bought her this one on behalf of our
baltimore beauty who couldn't make it. she still cringed and then i told her how lucky she was that (no matter how embarrassing) her fiancee was busting a move on the dance floor right behind her and not in afghanistan. we toasted to beth and andy, and she downed it like a champ.
also, i was bitten by the windy city bug... drooling over the skyline and big city atmosphere but the comfort of the midwest and knowing it's only 90 miles from home... i'll check back with you in 9 months to see if anything aspires... :)
