you know what i like more than puppies and pancakes?
limbo
no, not the game
limbo... the state of being
it's more of a love/hate relationship. but like an old high school boyfriend over christmas break, i keep finding myself in its company. and there's nothing you can do but shrug your shoulders, laugh quietly to yourself and enjoy the ride.
once again i find myself in transition. the soon-to-be conclusion of my kansas chapter and the beginning of my supposed-to-be minnesota chapter with a christmas break limbo in milwaukee. still not sure how long the lake front limbo will last. so i'm just going to go with the flow and do my best to catch all the curve balls. some phrases that have found their way into my daily conversations include:
we'll find out
it'll be fine
i'm not sure yet
i guess this is happening now
... interspersed expletives and fist shaking
luckily
i can always count on this man
for a memorable night out and reassuring/rational conversation
